Weiße Rose

On the 13th of February 2005, thousands of Dresdners wore a white rose pin for the first time. Thus they commemorated the destruction of their city in World War II and, at the same time, protested against right-wing extremists. Since 2010, a human chain has formed in the city center on February 13th of every year as a sign of peace and reconciliation.
